Business Experience Rates
I originally titled this as Business Failure, but I don’t believe that a venture is deemed a failure, if you gained a wealth of knowledge or experience, just your business plans were un-realistic.
The reality of business is that failure is a possibility, your blogger is on his 3rd startup, with one failure and one success to gain experience from. You are constantly learning new experiences and will adjust your attitudes and knowledge base for the next time, leading to success in the long term.
The Global Entrepreneurial Monitor report, 2010 http://www.enterprise-ireland.com/en/News/PressReleases/2011-Press-Releases/Global-Entrepreneurship-Monitor-GEM-Report-2010-Launched.html http://www.enterprise-ireland.com/en/News/PressReleases/2011-Press-Releases/Global-Entrepreneurship-Monitor-GEM-Report-2010-Launched.html This report illustrates many common theme’s, the most active startup age group is 35 – 44, while we, Ireland are comparable to the USA on startups, 8.6% versus 7.7%.Some times you have to take a journey on the road of hard knocks, failure to appreciate success. Every step is a learning experience, and hard knocks give, in my opinion a wealth of experience. The culture is changing to reflect this, the last decade inIrelandhas shown many success stories for startups, and those with adequate business plans, based on my previous posts, will continue to operate, and when the climate has changed, thrive.
The more entrepreneurial developed countries, appreciate individuals experiences of failures, and perhaps expect those who are successful to have some.
It is not the end of the world, take a breather, get going again, success may be just the next idea.
